Highlight of the Month January

- Three Feather Records -

Record Store • Venue • Fairfield, OH • EST.2021

If you ever find yourself in Fairfield, Ohio and you’re a lover of physical media, you NEED to stop by Three Feather Records.

Every record store has its own atmosphere, and this cozy spot definitely has one of its own. From the moment you pull up, with stylized vinyl decorating the windows and colorful lights lining said windows, the place gives off this unmistakable feeling that it’s more than just a record store. And honestly? That feeling is right. Beyond records, they carry cassettes, CDs, books, equipment, and merch like shirts, plus more depending on when you visit (And yes, they buy media from you too). Along with that is a venue where local bands take stage.

Once you step inside, two things immediately stand out. To your left, the walls are filled with flyers and advertisements for local bands and upcoming events.

Once you step further inside, you’re greeted by a service counter straight ahead, staffed by genuinely friendly people who clearly care about what they do. Beyond that, the store opens up to the right into rows of shelves and displays packed with vinyl, CDs, cassettes, equipment, and a cozy corner to the left of the room filled with books, posters, merch, and other little treasures. The walls themselves feel alive too, especially toward the back, where artwork and graffiti add even more personality to the space.

If you keep heading right past the displays of physical media, you’ll eventually reach another room that houses the venue. Even there, the store experience doesn’t stop, with more items lining the walls and available for purchase alongside the space where local bands take the stage.

I’ve only managed to catch one show there so far, but let me tell you… it fucking rocked. I definitely will be going again when I'm able to go over there.

Places like this are how local scenes stay alive. They give artists somewhere to exist, perform, and be discovered, and they give people a space to connect over the things they love. Supporting spots like Three Feather means supporting the community around it too. ♡ Check them out
